Membership is now open for the year 5780.

Kehilat Kolenu is a non-for-profit organisation. We aim to ensure that all of our events and services are accessible to all, and your generous donation will help us achieve this goal. Membership contributions will be directed towards event resources, program development, printing materials, venue hire, governance, education initiatives and more.  high holidays ticketing 2019/5780

Over the past few years, attendance at Kolenu’s high holiday services has grown strongly. It was amazing to see a packed house last year as we gathered to celebrate the new year. However, this presented the unprecedented challenge of needing to turn people away at the door once we reached capacity. This was not easy, and better managing attendance this year is something we take seriously.

As with last year, we have a capped capacity of 650 for each of our Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur morning services. This is to ensure both the safety and enjoyment of all those present. In consultation with community members, we have decided that this year an online ticketing platform is the most equitable way to distribute attendance across these 650 places. A ticket will be required to attend each service.

Within this ticketing model Kolenu members and donors will have access to tickets via an early-bird sale. If you choose to become a member with us during this period, you will gain immediate access to early-bird tickets. After this period ends, tickets will be released to the wider public.

Membership 5780

Membership is now open for the Hebrew year 5780, inclusive of all memberships taken out from July 1st 2019 (FY19-20). We are retaining the same affordable membership platform as in previous years: $250 for families, $100 for adults, and $50 for students. To ensure we remain an accessible congregation, membership to Kolenu is not compulsory. However contributions from those who can afford it are greatly appreciated.

Early-bird tickets

High holiday tickets will be available for Kolenu members from 12th August 2019. Tickets will incur a nominal fee as to discourage needless reserving of tickets. Family memberships are limited to six tickets, and individual memberships to two tickets. Watch this space for ticket release.

General release

Tickets will be released to the wider public from 26th August 2019. Members will still be able to purchase tickets during this time for a nominal fee, but will need to email us for a membership code. For non-members, tickets will be priced slightly higher.

Rosh Hashana tickets are available here.

Yom Kippur tickets are available here.

Seating and standing tickets - to limit the ‘mad rush’ to reserve seats on the day, we will be releasing seated and non-seated tickets. Once the seated allocation (400) has been exhausted, the remaining spaces will be for standing room or sitting on the stage. Your order will display the ticket type.

There is no ideal model which allows us to cater for everyone in the community within a limited space. We hope that this new system is fair for both our regular attendants, members and the wider community. We thank you for your understanding.
