Our siddur

While our Kabbalat Shabbat service is inspired by the traditional Friday night service, we have also included additional Hebrew songs with an emphasis on humanistic themes, adjusted lyrics and translations to reflect our egalitarian community, and compiled humanistic blessings in place of theocentric brachot.

Since 2012 our siddur has been reworked and redesigned multiple times, updated each time according to our creative needs. The current edition was created in 2017 and features our regular Kabbalat Shabbat service, additional Shabbat songs for special occasions, an appendix of Shabbat related short readings and both a humanistic and traditional Havdalah service. You can download the readable PDF version of each edition by clicking on the pictures below. If you wish to get a hold of the printable booklet files, or have us send you a hard copy of the Siddur, please get in touch.

We have also compiled the humanistic Shabbat blessings/affirmations which we use for our Shabbat meals into a printable document for you to use at your Friday night table. You can also use the transliterated version.
